To facilitate getting our concerns heard by members of Congress and the Obama administration, we held two Washington DC events and one Executive Committee strategy meeting leading up to the UNOS board meeting in June. These events were of great success in soliciting letters and comments from Members of Congress addressed to UNOS and HRSA. We were also able to discuss the issue with several Governors who then wrote letters to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius.

As we continue our efforts, we will be enlisting the help of our members to work with Congressional allies to ensure that this issue receives the proper attention and discussion before furthered.
